Covenant Chambers LLC
So you're a local law undergraduate, and you've heard about the kickstarter for the Covenant Chambers LLC Equity & Trusts Moot Competition 2025. Your interest is piqued, but you're wondering whether it's worth the trouble to pop by.¹
Hey, you do you. But if you happen to be on the fence, I suggest 3 reasons why it may be worth your while to join us.
1️⃣ A number of us² from the firm will be present (and I'm not just referring to Ee Yang Lee, Wilbur Lua, and Huai Yuan (HY) Chia).
Curious about the folks who make up the firm? Have questions about the firm culture? Wondering why the firm has grown so rapidly over the last couple of years?
Come over and say hi. I promise we won't bite.³
2️⃣ It's a chance to try something different.
So you've survived at least a year of law school, and you've got a slightly better idea of the rhythm of lectures / seminars / tutorials / readings / assignments and what it takes to get by.
Why, then, would you voluntarily sign up for the additional workload⁴ that comes with participating in a non-compulsory moot competition?
And yet... you're intrigued, but you don't quite know why.
Well, you don't have to decide yet. Come for the kickstarter. Find out a little more about what this is all about, and what participants are in for. After all, if you don't come, you'll never know what you might be missing out on.
Why not take a bite at something new?
3️⃣ I am told that there will be small bites.⁵

¹ Maybe you're still in shock at the length of your just-received reading list and are wondering how you'll ever get through it. Maybe you're not an NUS student and you think it's a bit of a pain to come all the way down.⁶ Or maybe you just have no idea what to expect.
² Including but not limited to this author, for what it's worth.
³ Unlike, say, the Sidley Biter.⁷
⁴ Not to mention the pain and suffering, rage and frustration, and sleepless nights.
⁵ The food kind.
⁶ Although can I point out that back in my time, when I was in NUS Law, there was no Botanical Gardens MRT, so I don't want to hear any complains from the SMU students who are thinking of heading over from campus. As for the SUSS students, you have a direct bus from campus.
