I'll be speaking Thursday evening on a World Arbitration Update panel on “International Arbitration & Emergent Technologies”. It'll be a fun opportunity to discuss:¹
- the impact of technology on international arbitration - both in terms of the subject matter of the arbitration, as well as how arbitrations are run;
- the relevance of generative AI to arbitration practitioners, tribunals, and litigants;
- how disputes concerning digital assets are increasingly being dealt with via arbitration instead of traditional court litigation;
- eSports arbitration;² and
- how arbitral institutions like the Singapore International Arbitration Centre manage differences in cultural attitudes towards the use of emergent technologies in arbitrations.
